While I really like the camera quality, and temperature and humidity monitoring, I don’t LOVE the sock. It loses connection when baby is sleeping peacefully, and will start playing the obnoxious lullaby from the sock base station. Don’t hate it, just don’t LOVE it.Camera and app work fantastic. Range is exponentially better than using the vtech baby monitor. App gives you alerts when room is uncomfortable or when there is noise detected. Video quality is excellent.I didn’t buy this before my child’s arrival, didn’t think I would need it and had heard mixed reviews about it. Then my child ended up in the nicu due to turning blue hours after delivery and seeing his heartrate and oxygen there I knew I needed to be able to see it at home too. It helped me to be able to sleep at night. It also helped when my little one got rsv. Before I knew it was rsv I was watching his oxygen rate and said if it dropped or fever spiked he would go to the hospital. And it dropped to 92 on the sock and so we went and I’m glad I had the sock to not only know his oxygen at that time but also now as he recovers. It does take 10 minutes to update oxygen which isn’t great when you want to know it constantly, but still great to be able to know In case of emergency. It does disconnect from the base a lot which can be annoying, but overall definitely recommend for anyone who has a baby for peace of mind.Cons of the video monitor:1. You have to be connected to wifi for the video to come through. Not ideal if you travel.2. The sound in the app will randomly stop working. We have used the app on different devices and all three of them have this problem.3. There is a notification that will pop up every so often telling you if your baby is asleep or awake. If you do not dismiss this the phone screen will shut off unless you have the sound set to background you will not be able to see or hear anything4. The app changes the sound setting to “on” every time you close out of the app and reopen it so you have to make sure to check that it says “background” every time you use the app just in case the phone shuts offAll of these things are manageable but we are to the point where we are just going to order a regular monitor. Save your money, just get the sock and purchase a monitor that is more reliable. This is definitely a great tool for first time parents. It gives me piece of mind keeping an eye on my baby’s levels! It took me a little while to set it up. In short, you have to download the app, connect on your Wi-Fi, charge the sock and then register. Then you have to register the camera too. This process should be more simple in my opinion. I have a baby at home, so it took me a while to be able to figure that out, because I can’t really focus. When I finally did, it was a little bit more simple. I started using it last night. I’m not sure if I like it yet. I liked seeing that my baby had almost 6 hours of light sleep and only 3 and a half hour of deep sleep. I wonder if that is normal and if I can improve the deep sleep. I was hoping for tips on the app. He woke up 3 times. One of the times I was still awake and saw he sitting kind of sleepy and felt again on his crib. He did bumped his head. :( But the base or my phone didn’t warn me about any of the awakening moments, which I was expecting it too and got a little disappointed. I like the design, the app interface, and all the attachments the camera has, so we can set it up really perfect! I love that the socks get charged really quick! That is an awesome technology!!!!! The image of the camera is amazing! I feel that for the price it should come with a monitor as well. It’s nice checking on my phone but I work on my phone, so the switching all the time is a little hard. This is a must have for any new mom.Our sock is wonderful and works fantastically! The camera however was a bit trickier to get up and running and took some time to situate. Other than that everything works well and interfaces great.with our phones! The dream sock is a great concept but still needs a lot of work. Wife and I invested in the combo (sock & camera) for peace of mind sleeping at night, the product didn’t meet our expectations.Pros:1) Sock records sleep patterns to help establish early good habits for an infant. Additionally, the app provide tips about what to do to learn about baby cues.2) Sock records heartbeats and provides average heartbeat for an infant.3) Camera has clear HD vision during the day, and provide night vision at night. It notifies you when there’s noise or movements in the room.4) Camera also records room temperature, humidity level, and sound level. This helps set up the perfect environment for your infant to sleep in.Cons:1) Dream sock can stop randomly recording at night or during the day although fully charged. It seems there’s no proper communication between the sock and the base to send accurate information to the app on your phone.2) Sock can only record sleep patterns and average heartbeat, but doesn’t record any body temperature ans oxygen level, which I think it’s equally important for peace of mind.3) Sock battery doesn’t last that long. Put it on infant around 10 pm, by 7 am it will need to be charged again. The battery could at least last 24 hours fully charged.4) Camera Night Vision doesn’t work properly. Camera can keep a blue light all night long even when there’s no movement or big sound in the room. The concept for the sock is excellent, but developers needs to add more features to make it worth the money. For the latest and greatest combo if dream sock and camera, we expected this product to provide more information beside sleep patterns and average heartbeat. We’ll return the combo and only invest in the camera if possible. I hope the developers take notes and can really provide a product for true peace of mind, especially for the new parents like us that need the best for their infants. The app is absolutely terrible. It keeps closing and we can't set it up. I have a newer Samsung phone so I can't figure out why the app keeps crashing. We also tried it on my husbands phone and it didn't work either. Not as advertised. The app does not have the features shown. Not worth it at all. Bought before baby come and return window is closed and now wasted $500.
